I've seen this item described as 'Clip-On Weights' or 'Pinch-On'. Not really sure what the name is, so I'll leave an attached image. I find them to be a very useful alternative for attaching to hooks to add some weight if needed. I wouldn't recommend then for fishing line because it seems as though they they may jeopardize line integrity. They're a thrifty alternative to purchasing weighted hooks though and work great for me.

I would recommend the Bullet Weight Rubber Grip Sinker. You can attached this weight to your line without damaging it.

Yes, those are great for attaching to the line itself...if that's what one wants. And as I said I would NOT recommend the clip-on for the line. I DO recommend them though for adding weight to the HOOK. This is a good way of adding 'balanced' weight to the bait...without having to purchase expensive weighted hooks. Works great, especially for adding 'balanced' weight to all the new and very popular swim baits.
