If you haven't caught on to the tremendous action and trophy class bass that you get with these baits, then now is the time to check them out!

The RAGETAIL have been producing giant bass on the East Coast in the pads in about 1-3 feet of water all day long at times, even in 100 degree heat! The Zoom Horny Toads have been a close second!

I have been rigging them on 2 different hooks with great results on the hook-up percentages. I have been using the Stanley Double Take hooks in 6/0 for the bigger baits and the Sizmic Toad Hook in 4/0 and 5/0 on the others. I also used a swimbait hook on the Lake Fork frog baits and it worked well to get extra distance and it still stayed on top of the pads. You really need to reel these baits as fast as you can possibly turn the handle most of time. Remember, you CAN NOT REEL A BAIT FASTER THAN A BASS CAN GO! They can catch any bait no matter what! I am using 50-65 lb test Power Pro Braid and a 7 and 7'4' Med/hvy Rod for these and a Abu Garcia Revo reel in 6:4:1, any faster and I don't feel it has enough power to get out the bass that are above 6 pounds from the type of heavy cover I am fishing.

Stop by and take a look at the videos I did on these baits being fished and what they catch at my main site. Tight lines, and good luck. Steve,Owner, Trophy Bass Fishing Videos and Tips

Have you tried the Mann's Hardnose toad? I find it is an excellent bait and has a great hookup ratio, as well as being very duarable.

Yes I like the Hard nose, but the RAGE TAILS have outproduced all the toad baits so far. recently though, the bass have turned off to a topwater bite almost completely due to several factors and have gone to a soft plastics, jigs, bite in docks and wood. I have done several videos on this recently featuring all the tackle from Tackle Warehouse and ICAST 2010.
