If you like low profile casting reels, the Curado 300 is a great swimbait reel. This reel offers a larger spool capacity, allowing the angler to make longer casts which is pretty typical with larger swimbaits. The Revo Winch is another low profile casting reel that also offers a deeper spool.

Get the Daiwa Luna 253. It's not quite a Shimano Calcutta TE, but it's close in performance and about a hundred bucks cheaper. You can adjust its brakes on the fly because they are adjustable externally, which is a plus since it's a round profile reel. It's tough, durable and will probably last you a lifetime as long as you take good care of it (oil the bearings every few months, add grease to the worm gear every few months, eventually get it serviced by a reel technician every couple of years)

I used to have a Revo Winch but sold it because I hated it. It just didn't cast very far compared to all my other reels.

The curados are a great choice for swimbaits. they have a ton of cranking power and you can get them in a 7.0:1 gear ratio

A lower gear ratio reel would be ideal for swimbaits, not a higher ratio one. For your sake, please don't get the 7.0:1 retrieve for swimbaits.

Not to mention that the Curado 200E series' line capacity is likely to be inadequate for chucking big swimbaits long distances, especially if you are using heavy thick line.

The only time I can envision a Curado 200E series reel working for swimbaits is when you're throwing small ones. The original poster mentioned using 25 pound test line, so it's likely that he will be throwing fairly large swimbaits.

I know some of the BASS guys (Velvick was one) was throwing the Revo Toro at Clear this year...but it is approaching that $300 mark unless you find a good used one.
