Are you looking for a finesse spinning rod or baitcasting? What is your price range?

I have a $100 St Croix Drop-Shot Rod. It's spinning. Six to 10-lb weight.

Here are a few finesse bait casting rod brands that are pretty popular in the price range that you mentioned. Abu Garcia Vendetta & Veritas, Diawa S Rod, e21 Wild, Okuma EVX, St Croix Mojo, Temple Fork & Wright McGill Tessera & Honeycomb. I personally own the Vendetta and Veritas casting rods. Both of these rods are exceptional for the price. These two rods are my personal pick.

Thanks for the post. Kind of funny, the vendetta was the rod I had selected, but then had second thought after reading reviews that talked about how stiff the rods were. May order the 6'6 medium, although, according to some of the reviews it would seem that I need the med light- not sure they make one. Thanks again.

Maybe consider a Quantum Energy PT as well. You never hear much about them, but I just ordered one and it felt great.
I don't know what exactly your definition of finesse is, but maybe a 7' m.
