Well the Sumos are lighter and smaller in size. Sumo hooks are angled better so the hooks don't bury in the frogs body which decreases the chances of a fish being able to spit it cause the hooks are not exposed like the Tournaments tend to...but the Tournaments are a bit heavier and cast better in the wind...ive caught and lost my fair share in the slop on both...Sumos do have cooler colors and designs but we all end up modifying them anyway...

I just received an order of both types and I hope the "Pro's" are as good as the Sumo's. I have had a ball this summer catching fish in heavy cover with the Sumo's. I have had no trouble losing fish or missing fish on the Sumo's although they sometimes miss the frog. Let the fish eat it and pull and they will stay pinned! Good Fishin'

I went out Labor Day and fished the Sumo and Snag Proof Pro frogs. We had a banner day and I highly endorse the Sumo over all the others. The Sumo "rights" itself on the rare occasion it lands on it's back, the SP's tend to land and stay on their back all the way across the mats we were fishing. I also have noticed a much better hook up and keep em' pinned ratio. I now have a new favorite way to fish! The strikes are heart stopping most of the time.
Does anyone have a recommendation on flipping hooks for the thick mats we fish in Florida? The bite on the BB Cricket has been great but I have had trouble keeping them on using the Denny Brauer flipping hook by Mustad. The grass here is so thick the EWG's or offset hooks hamper penetrating the grass even with an 1 3/4 tungsten Penetrater weight.

Good job with the Sumos TK. I use GY's EWG Sugoi hooks on 99% of my soft-plastics but I don't have tha "penetration" problem you have. I would suggest trying this hook (http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/descpage-GSWH.html). They don't come any sharper nor stronger than a Gammy(the Sugois are made by Gammy).

i love the black sumo and the white, the only thing i change on the black is the hooks. change to gamakatsu 4/0 frog hook, improves catch ratio by a wide margin and it hardly ever buries in the frog. the white i use to paint my own special colors. great bait cause u can still alter it where all the new ones on the market wont allow much alteration.

I used the Sumo late in the year and really liked it. a bit smaller but with some good weight to it. I plan on using it more in open water. the black one is awesome looking. Nobody ever talks about the Trophy scum frog. It has the big owner hook and we have done great with it the last 2 years. it also costs a bit less. get some black and white ones. give them a try...
