I am seeking advice for the best hook to use with a 4.5" Strike King Shadalicious swimbait. I have tried using a 5/0 offset wide gap hook but the lure seems to spin on the hook instead of having the traditional swimming motion. I tried some weighted hooks with the point that is inserted in the nose of the bait but the point keeps pulling out of the bait. Any suggestions on hooks or rigging methods. The lakes that I generally fish have thick vegetation so I need a weedless rig. Thanks

I've run into same problem with other baits. Try bending the bait on itself. Bend the tail around toward the head and insert hook into bait in that position. That should work for you....

Try a drop of super glue on the weighted hooks..Insert the point and put a small drop of glue before you insert the point all the way into the swim bait.
