Winning Pattern Notes
Monroe described his main area near Franks as "a random bank" he hadn't fished in over 10 years. It was a mix of riprap and tule berms, with a lot of grass. "It was one place on the Delta that had a lot of grass," he noted. "It was still green. The first few days, before the wind, it had the green-moss frog stuff that fish love so much. There were huge holes underneath it with no grass. So you'd have this huge layer across with holes inside. When the wind blew it apart, the fish moved off and I concentrated on the real big clumps."
