Looking for advice on fishing gin clear, deep, mountian lake in South Carolina. Have had some sucess but can't seem to catch multiple fish on one spot. I'll catch one and continue fishing there for 30 or 45 minutes....... but nothing else. I'll move and return later........no fish. I can't seem to pattern the fish.

This time of year it's difficult to pull multiple fish from a given spot. The fish are scattered and not roaming much. You can still develop a pattern, but it'll be based on catching numbers of single fish off similar cover/structure with the same presentation. With gin clear water, use shade and wind to your advantage as they will likely be key factors in developing your pattern. Both will give you the fish position part of the puzzle and often the location part too. (Facing into the wind on, say, the shady side of a weed clump is an example) Often a high speed retrieve is required so as not to give 'em a good look at your offering, but once you develop that pattern, you can often switch to something slower/ more natural.
