I took today off to fish in my branch manager's farm pond. Got there at 9:30 AM and it was in the mid-40s.

Before putting my boat in, I alway's throw some baits from the bank which borders the deep end. I caught a dink right away, hopping a T-rigged GY Grub(#196 color) off the bottom. My b/m had asked me to transfer any Bass I caught under 3 lbs to a smaller pond of his.

I was bent over at the shallow end of the dock you will see in the pics, dipping a large cooler in the water to put the dink in. Something happened.....I fell head-first right into the pond, landing on the top of my head in about 4' of water. I had a lot of clothes so I was 'heavy' but I managed to get out. It's 45 degrees, sunny(yea!) with a light wind. What to do???

I took off my lined, dungaree jacket and kept on fishing from the bank while soaking wet, hoping my clothes would dry out before I became chilled. My neck was hurting from the 'head jam'.

I fished for about an hour, never putting the boat in. I caught 6 dinks and one 2 lber. Transferred all but one dink(gut-hooked-died) to the other pond and went home.
