Went to my boss's pond again today. You know, the one I fell in last Wed. Windy, bright sun, no clouds, clear water, and high in the 70s---beautiful day!
Started throwing the same bait from the bank, my 8" GY Grub, T-rigged. Right away, I caught a 4.3 lb, 21" Bass and then a few dinks on the same bait.
Threw Joe's Squiggling Stixs and caught 4 or 5 dinks but no size to them. They did bite it well as I had wacky-rigged them.
Tried a swimbait, and a couple of jigs. Caught two jig Bass; a 2lb, 16.5" and a 1.8 lb, 16 incher. And yes, I managed to stay high and dry.
