Got a baby bass series in perch pattern...........

is 17 lb flouro good enough?

I saw on tackle tour they threw this on 12lb test. Thats a lil to light of line for me..........

So if I am not using braid can I use 17 lb flouro?

I agree, I would fish that bait with 15-17lb fluorocarbon 98% of the time. If I was fishing in a lake the was super clear or heavily pressured I could see the need for 12lb.
