I need some help on hook setting for hollow belly frogs. Any suggrstions?

I feel that the hardest part about setting a hook when fishing a hollow belly frog is setting the hook too early. Your natural reaction is to set the hook right away. If you wait an extra second or two and allow the fish to get the frog in their mouth, I believe this will help increase your hook up ratio.

quick questions, are you using a frog specific rod like the Powell frog rod or the Daiwa rod? Second, are you using at least 50 pound test braid? If so, then back to what TW said. As long as your line is not slack, you can wait until you feel the pressure from a fish before setting the hook, but then set it hard and fast.
