Bill came up from Jacksonville, Florida to fish with me today at my branch manager's pond. He was in awe of the pond as it was his first time to fish this far north in GA. We started out at 9:45 AM and quit at 1:45 pm. Very windy, sunny, and the temps never got above the 50's. Suppose to freeze here tonight.
He caught his first Bass on his new, 3-piece, custom Kistler Helium rod with a T-rigged(3/8 oz Gambler Rattlin' screw-in weight and a 5/0 Sugoi hook) from the little dock near the dam. I canght nothing there.
We got in the boat and he caught three more 1.5-2 lbers from the rear seat and I was gettin' skunked. Finally, I landed one with a 1/2 oz rattlin' Terminator jig and a Paca Craw that I'd dipped in CB's Hawg Sauce.
We each caught a couple of dinks and one or two more keepers. We both agreed it was a great day considering the weather conditions.
Probably closer to 1.5 lbs? (http://photobucket.com/albums/d151/lightninrod/?action=view¤t=IMG_0414.jpg)
2 lber (http://photobucket.com/albums/d151/lightninrod/?action=view¤t=IMG_0416.jpg)
Actuall, it's his third one (http://photobucket.com/albums/d151/lightninrod/?action=view¤t=IMG_0415.jpg)
3lbs even (http://photobucket.com/albums/d151/lightninrod/?action=view¤t=IMG_0418.jpg)
Same-Bad angle--look's smaller? (http://photobucket.com/albums/d151/lightninrod/?action=view¤t=IMG_0417.jpg)
Honest, it was a 3lb even, 19" Bass.
