here is a quick question for you froggin experts... can you recomend certain reels for froggin? 50-65 power pro... pulling bass out of the slop can really put a strain on the reel. I've been using some old TD reels and they took a beating this year. thanks for the help...

we use the old curado 200, they can take sucha beating and are easily available on ebay.

Shimano's Calais (http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/descpageRLCSHIMANO-SHCA.html) in the '200' size is expensive but their drag and gear systems are worth it. This is the Mercedes Benz in low-profile reels IMO.

i just saw a show yesterday on froggin and i too will be grabing a set up yeterday there was a pro showing his frogg set up off he said you want a reel with a fast retrieve cause when you hook the fish he will charge to the boat so you have to be able to catch up to him i know by looking at his set up he had a new 06 quantum baitburner the one with the 7:1 retrive ithink that is the reel ill be getting or maybee the new 06 energy pt hope this helps you
