i have just bought my first ms slammer. i took it out yesterday for the first time and after a couple of casts the paint was already starting to chip. needles to say it got worse after my first fish on the bait. i understand this will happen with custom wood baits so me question is what is a good touch up paint to use on this or should i just leave it was some paint off for an "injured" look? the bait is great other than that by the way, the bass at Diamond Valley had no problem choking it down when i waked it across points. thanks for any advice.

you answered your own question. if it is still catching good fish, leave it alone. I know numerous people who have said they keep catching em on dinged up baits. I say don't touch it.

A buddy of mine fishes the slammer A LOT and he said:

"The paint jobs are sweet and it seems like the more beat up they get, the more hits they get."
