I picked up one of the new Daiwa Viento reels with the Twitchin' Bar, normally I am partial to Shimano reels but the Twitchin' Bar feature kind of caught my eye. The first time out with it I fished a Zoom Fluke weightless and it worked awesome, the action that is produced with the Twitchin' Bar can not be duplicated by turning the reel handle, I caught several fish in the 3.5 to 4.5 lb range out of a lake that only normally produces fish in the 2 to 3 lb range. You can practically fish this reel one handed. Has anyone tried the Viento yet???????

Well...I picked up the Megaforce, the Viento's little brother...twitchin bar, but this one has 7.1:1 gear ratio...Normally I am a SHimano guy, but for the price...can't beat it. I love it

I got one this summer for frog fishing with 65# braid... This reel works great! twitchin' bar really helps working the frog slow...
I'd get a few more of these reels in the future...
