Spring?

With Spring time around the corner I'm slowly trying to stock up on my Spring time baits. Any sugestions on types of baits, patterns, methods, ect.

Typically, in the springtime, especially early, I am throwing jerkbaits, lipless crankbaits, and shaky heads.

Jerks: Lucky Craft Pointers or X-rap XR10's
Lipless Cranks: Redeye shads or rat-l-traps
I really like the Picasso Shakedown shaky head jigs. Work well with various soft plastics.

Throwing a red lipless crankbait is a classic example for an early spring bait choice. Don't forget about white or pink soft plastics when fishing beds, these colors allow you to maintain visual contact with the bait. When the bait disappears from view, usually the bass has picked up the bait.

Dont go out with out a Spinner Bait rigged. Alot of Anglers put this bait aside in the spring time. Spinner Baits put more bass in the boat then any other bait year round.
