Lots of different Flouro. lines out there. I count about 4+ different brands and styles just at TW. look elswhere and the list quadruples. very confusing with different prices and amounts. anybody got a grasp on this?? Here are my 2 applications I'm interested in:
1. dropshotting 6# test.
2. Heavy jigging ( I currently use Sugoi 16#, this stuff works great but over 20$ for 50 yds!!) if I can find something with similar strentgh but cheaper that would be good.
thanks Happy holidays!!

Try the Cabelas Proline Flurocarbon:

You can buy two 1/4# spools for $20/ea. I use 15# or 17# for jigs and crank with 12#.

My first time here. I have tried them all except for sunline. I am going to try it soon. My favorite right now is seaguar. It has the lowest memory and best strength as far as I can tell. Price is moderate. It last a long, long time. When it gets curly I unspool it behind the boat and drag it a little while, then reel it back on the reel and use it some more. I fish tournaments heavily. Used to change line every week or two. Not now dropshot rods once a month if I'm using them heavily. More with light use. One thing to remember is that fluro sinks. Bad for top water lures.
Remember to use double polamar knot or it will break at the knot on hookset sometimes. Very tough line. Use it for everything except topwaters and braid applications. Good fishin
