Flippin rod choice

    I hear a lot about using a parabolic action rod for flipping with braid. Has anyone used one of the Ike "delay" series rod

    I like a rod with a moderate fast taper for flipping with braid. I believe those Ike delay rods are moderate and they were designed for moving baits like crankbaits, topwaters, chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, etc. Moderate is a little to spongy for me especially in a medium heavy or heavy action. If you get a moderate taper for flipping with braid, I would recommend an extra heavy action. On an extra heavy the strong backbone will make up for the sponginess.
